VO2fx® at Ironman World Championship
Maggie Fournier set a personal record, and finished 8th in her division at the 2011 Ironman World Championship in Kona, Hawaii. It was Maggie’s second appearance at the Ironman World Championship, which is also regarded as one of the toughest endurance races in the world.
Maggie has been an elite athlete on the VO2fx® product development/testing team for many years, and she’s probably tested every prototype graduated compression and running socks we’ve ever developed … including the latest VO2fx® Recovery Socks, which are going through the final testing phase now.

Maggie loves to run in her VO2fx® low cut socks and slips into her VO2fx® Recovery Socks straight after her workouts … which she’s also been known to sleep in!
Maggie competed in the Women’s 35 – 39 age division, where she had a solid Top 10 finish. Her time of 10:19:48 was a mere 3 minutes outside the top 3 finishers and a spot on the podium.
It was a great result and let’s face it, you really can’t do much better than a PR at the world championship – well done Maggie!

Maggie Fournier DPM is a Member of the American Board of Podiatric Surgery and she’s a practicing Podiatrist at Gunderson Lutheran Hospital in Lacrosse, WI. Maggie is also a three time All-American in the sport of triathlon, has competed at the Ironman World Championships in 2007 & 2011 and is a National Half Ironman Champion.

Triathletes at the world championship level are elite athletes who test everything. When can I get some of your compression socks for myself???
